The Bosch BMA250E is a digital, triaxial, low-g acceleration sensor designed for consumer applications. It measures acceleration along three perpendicular axes using a MEMS structure.
Key features include an ultra-small 2mm x 2mm LGA package, digital interfaces supporting SPI (4-wire, 3-wire) and I²C, and two interrupt pins. The sensor supports programmable acceleration ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, with selectable low-pass filter bandwidths from <8Hz to 1kHz. It also includes an on-chip FIFO buffer with a depth of 32 frames and an intelligent on-chip interrupt controller for motion-triggered signal generation.
This sensor is suitable for applications such as display profile switching, menu scrolling, gaming, pedometer functions, free-fall detection, and advanced system power management in mobile devices. Its compact size and low power consumption make it ideal for space-constrained designs.
The BMA250E is designed for surface mounting and operates within a voltage range of 1.62V to 3.6V. It features an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
