The BL55080 is a versatile single-chip LCD driver and controller from Shanghai Belling Co Ltd. It features 8 common outputs and 35 segment outputs, providing a total of 280 bit output capability, suitable for character and graphic LCDs with common low duty cycles. The device supports a wide VDD and VLCD voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V.
Communication is handled via a two-wire serial bus interface (I2C), compatible with most microcomputer systems. The BL55080 integrates essential LCD driving circuitry, including a bias voltage generator, voltage selector, internal clock, display register, segment/backplane output circuits, and power-on reset.
