This IC features a two-wire serial bus communication interface, compatible with most microcomputer systems. It supports selectable backplane drive modes (static or 2, 3, 4 compound) and display bias voltage options (static, 1/2, or 1/3). The wide operating voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V makes it suitable for various applications.

 

The BL55028 includes a 19x4 display data memory and a general-purpose blinking mode. The power supplies for the LCD and logic circuits can be supplied separately. It is compatible with 4-bit, 8-bit, and 16-bit microprocessors/microcontrollers and supports TTL/COMS logic levels. The component is housed in a SOP28 package.
