This transceiver includes built-in fail-safe circuitry, ensuring the receiver output is logic high under open or short-circuit conditions. The receiver input impedance is 1/8th of a unit load, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus for half-duplex communication. Additionally, the I/O pins offer ±30kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge ESD protection.

 

The BL3085 is suitable for applications such as smart meters, collection terminals, industrial control, and security monitoring. It comes in an SOP8 package and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
