The BH7649KS2 is a high-performance video and audio signal switcher from ROHM Semiconductor, designed for car navigation and car DVD player applications. It integrates a video switch, audio switch, and isolation amplifier into a single chip, controlled via an I²C interface compatible with fast mode Version 2.0.

The device features 7 composite video inputs and 4 video outputs, including two 75Ω video drivers and two amplifier outputs. It includes a selectable video gain switch with settings of -6dB, -3dB, 0dB, and 3dB, as well as a video LPF switch (6.75MHz or through). The BH7649KS2 also supports sag compensation and can drive two loads without an output coupling capacitor on one load.

For audio, the IC provides 5 inputs (Lch, Rch) and 2 outputs (Lch, Rch), with a selectable audio gain switch (0dB or -6dB) and an audio LPF switch (24kHz or through). It includes a MUTE function and an isolator function for all audio and video inputs, with selectable isolation for different input channels.

The BH7649KS2 operates from a supply voltage of 7.5V to 9.5V and is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is supplied in a 52-LQFP surface-mount package (SQFP-T52M 10x10mm) and has a maximum power dissipation of 1900 mW when mounted on a standard 4-layer glass epoxy board.
