The BeRex BGS1 is a high-performance Silicon Germanium Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (SiGe HBT) MMIC gain block amplifier designed for various wireless applications. It operates across a wide frequency range of 50 MHz to 4 GHz, making it suitable for Cellular, PCS, GSM, UMTS, WCDMA, and general wireless data systems.
This gain block features internal 50 Ohm matching, eliminating the need for external components and simplifying circuit design. It is designed to run directly from a 3.2V supply and requires no dropping resistor. Key electrical specifications include a typical gain of 22.2 dB at 900 MHz, an input return loss of -31.3 dB, an output return loss of -17.1 dB, an output IP3 of 23.0 dBm, and a noise figure of 2.9 dB.
The BGS1 is packaged in a compact SOT-363 surface mount package, which is RoHS2 compliant. Its design is optimized for high linearity and ease of integration into compact wireless devices. The device is suitable for applications such as driver amplifiers in cellular infrastructure and other wireless communication systems.
