The BCP69T1G is a PNP silicon epitaxial transistor from On Semiconductor designed for low voltage, high current applications. It features a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 20 V and a continuous collector current rating of 1 A. The device is housed in the SOT-223 surface mount package, which provides improved thermal conduction and allows visual inspection of soldered joints. The formed leads absorb thermal stress during soldering, eliminating the possibility of damage to the die.
Key electrical characteristics include a DC current gain (hFE) of 85 minimum at 500 mA collector current and 1 V collector-emitter voltage, a maximum collector-emitter saturation voltage of 500 mV at 100 mA base current and 1 A collector current, and a typical transition frequency of 60 MHz. The device can dissipate up to 1.5 W of power at 25°C ambient temperature when surface mounted on a standard glass epoxy PCB.
The BCP69T1G is qualified to AEC-Q101 and is PPAP capable, making it suitable for automotive applications. It is Pb-free, halogen free/BFR free, and RoHS compliant. The NPN complement is the BCP68.
