The BCP68T1 is an NPN silicon epitaxial transistor from ON Semiconductor, housed in the SOT-223 surface mount package. It is designed for low voltage, high current applications such as medium power switching and linear amplification.
Key electrical ratings include a maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 20 Vdc, collector-base voltage (VCBO) of 25 Vdc, and emitter-base voltage (VEBO) of 5.0 Vdc. The continuous collector current is rated at 1.0 Adc, with a peak current capability of 3.0 Adc. Total power dissipation is 1.5 W when surface mounted at 25°C, with a derating of 12 mW/°C above 25°C. The thermal resistance, junction-to-ambient (RθJA), is 83.3 °C/W for surface mount conditions.
The device is Pb-free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS3 compliant. The SOT-223 package (Case 318E, Style 1) allows for wave or reflow soldering and provides improved thermal conduction. Standard tape and reel packaging offers 1000 pieces per reel, with a 4000 piece option available under the BCP68T3G ordering number.
The PNP complement is the BCP69T1. Operating and storage temperature range is -65 to 150 °C.
