BCM5482HA2KFBG is a dual-port integrated 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet transceiver from Broadcom Limited. It is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3ab standards, and supports half-duplex and full-duplex operation at 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps per port. The device offers RGMII, SGMII, and SerDes MAC interface options, and supports copper or fiber in RGMII mode.
Designed for low power and cost, the transceiver consumes only 600 mW per port and is built on 0.13-micron CMOS technology. It includes CableChecker diagnostics, a cable plant analyzer function, and automatic MDI/MDIX crossover at all speeds. Jumbo frames up to 10 kB are supported, and the device provides over 3 kV of cable-sourced ESD tolerance to prevent equipment damage.
The BCM5482HA2KFBG is housed in a 121-pin BGA package and is intended for space-constrained applications such as IP phones and 10/100BASE-TX uplink links. It is also suitable for network switch and embedded designs where low power, small footprint, and multiple MAC interfaces are required.
The device is offered in a 121-pin BGA package.
According to existing data, it is RoHS3 compliant, though unverified.
It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps per port and is compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3ab standards.
