The BC857A-7-F is a PNP small-signal transistor from Diodes Incorporated, part of the BC856A–BC858C series. It is designed for switching and AF amplifier applications.
Electrical specifications include a maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 45V, collector-base voltage (VCBO) of 50V, emitter-base voltage (VEBO) of 5V, continuous collector current (IC) of 100mA, and power dissipation of 300mW. The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 125 at Ic=2mA, Vce=5V, and the collector-emitter saturation voltage (VCE(sat)) is a maximum of 650mV at Ib=5mA, Ic=100mA. The transition frequency (fT) is 200MHz.
The transistor is supplied in a SOT23-3 surface mount package (also designated as TO-236-3, SC-59). The package is molded green plastic with matte tin plated leads, rated MSL Level 1 (unlimited floor life). It is fully RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen/antimony free.
Packaging is tape and reel with 3,000 units per 7-inch reel. The part is qualified to JEDEC standards for high reliability. An automotive-compliant variant (BC857AQ) is available under a separate datasheet.
