The BC846AS-7 is a dual NPN small signal transistor manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It is designed for switching and AF amplifier applications. With a collector-emitter breakdown voltage (BVCEO) greater than 65V, it provides reliable performance in low-power circuits. The device offers a continuous collector current rating of 100mA (peak 200mA) and a maximum power dissipation of 200mW at 25°C ambient.
The transistor is housed in an ultra-small SOT363 surface mount package (SC-70-6, SC-88, 6-TSSOP), making it ideal for space-constrained designs. It is fully RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen- and antimony-free (green device). Moisture sensitivity is Level 1 per J-STD-020, allowing unlimited floor life. The terminals have a matte tin finish for excellent solderability.
The DC current gain (hFE) is typically 110 minimum at Ic=2mA and Vce=5V. The maximum Vce saturation is 600mV at Ib=5mA and Ic=100mA. The transistor features a transition frequency of 100MHz (typical) for adequate small-signal response. ESD ratings include HBM 4kV and MM 400V, meeting JEDEC Class 3A and Class C respectively.
