The BC618 is an NPN Darlington transistor manufactured by On Semiconductor. It integrates two bipolar transistors in a Darlington pair configuration, achieving very high DC current gain (hFE) ranging from 2000 minimum at 100 µA up to 10000-50000 at 200 mA collector current. This makes it suitable for applications requiring high gain from a low base current.
Key electrical ratings include a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 55V, collector-base voltage of 80V, and continuous collector current of 1A. The device can dissipate up to 625 mW at ambient temperature (25°C) and 1.5W at case temperature. Operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C.
