The BC369 is a PNP bipolar junction transistor (BJT) manufactured by On Semiconductor, designed for general purpose amplification and switching applications. It offers a collector-emitter breakdown voltage (VCEO) of 20V minimum, a collector-base breakdown voltage (VCBO) of 25V minimum, and an emitter-base breakdown voltage (VEBO) of 5V minimum. The device can handle a continuous collector current (IC) of 1A and dissipates up to 625mW at 25°C ambient temperature (1.5W at case temperature).
With a minimum transition frequency (fT) of 65MHz at Ic=10mA, Vce=5V, the BC369 is suitable for audio and low-frequency amplifier stages. The DC current gain (hFE) ranges from 50 to 375 at Ic=5mA, Vce=10V, and from 85 to 375 at Ic=500mA, Vce=1V. The collector-emitter saturation voltage (VCE(sat)) is a maximum of 500mV at Ib=100mA, Ic=1A, ensuring efficient switching.
The transistor is housed in a through-hole TO-92 (TO-226-3) package, also known as TO-92 Long Body. It has a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 200°C/W and a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 83.3°C/W. The operating and storage junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. The BC369 is available in standard bulk packaging (5000 units/box) and ammo pack variants (2000 units/box), including Pb-Free versions (BC369G, BC369ZL1G).
