The BAW56 is a dual common anode small signal switching diode designed for high-speed signal processing and rectifying applications. It is rated for a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 85V and an average forward current of 215mA per diode (125mA when both diodes are loaded). The forward voltage is 1.25V at 150mA, with lower drops at lower currents (1.0V at 50mA, 855mV at 10mA, 715mV at 1mA). Reverse recovery time is 4ns, enabling fast switching. Peak forward surge current reaches 2A for 1µs pulses. Leakage current is limited to 1µA at 75V and 25°C. Junction capacitance is typically 2pF at 0V.
The device is housed in a surface-mount SOT-23 package (TO-236, SC-59) and weighs approximately 0.01g. It is rated for operation up to 150°C junction temperature and has a power dissipation of 350mW when mounted on 3mm² copper pads. Moisture sensitivity level is MSL 1 (unlimited).
