The BAV70-7 is a dual surface-mount switching diode manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It consists of two diodes connected in a common cathode configuration, suitable for general-purpose switching applications. The device offers a maximum DC blocking voltage of 75V and an average rectified current of 150mA. The forward voltage is typically 1.25V at 150mA, and the reverse leakage current is 2.5µA at 75V. The reverse recovery time is 4ns, making it suitable for high-speed switching. The diode is housed in a small SOT-23-3 package, which is surface-mountable and ideal for automated assembly. The package is molded plastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are matte tin finish over Alloy 42 leadframe, ensuring lead-free solderability. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen- and antimony-free, and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1. It is also available in automotive-qualified versions (BAV70Q series). Typical applications include high-speed switching circuits, blocking diodes, and protection circuits in consumer electronics, industrial controls, and automotive systems.
