BAV21-TR is a high voltage fast recovery silicon epitaxial planar diode from Vishay Dale, designed for general purpose switching applications. It offers a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 250V and a reverse voltage of 200V, with a forward continuous current of 250mA. The diode features a fast reverse recovery time of 50ns, making it suitable for high-speed switching circuits. The forward voltage is typically 1V at 100mA, and the reverse current is only 100nA at 200V.
The device is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) through-hole package with axial leads. It has a power dissipation of 500mW and a junction temperature range up to 175°C. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 300K/W. The diode is also capable of handling peak forward surge currents up to 1A for 1 second.
This diode is suitable for various general purpose applications including signal processing, clamping, and protection circuits. The DO-35 package allows for easy mounting on PCBs or point-to-point wiring. The device is RoHS compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
