The BAV21 is a fast recovery rectifier diode from Diotec Semiconductor, designed for high-speed switching and signal processing applications. It has a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200 V and an average forward rectified current of 250 mA. The forward voltage is typically 1 V at 100 mA, and the reverse recovery time is 50 ns maximum. The diode can handle a peak forward surge current of 5 A (pulse width ≤1 µs) and has a low leakage current of 100 nA at rated voltage. Junction capacitance is 5 pF at zero bias.
The device operates over a junction temperature range of -50°C to +200°C and has a maximum power dissipation of 500 mW. Thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 300 K/W. The BAV21 is packaged in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial lead through-hole package, suitable for commercial and industrial grade applications. It is RoHS compliant, REACH declarable, lead free, and conflict minerals compliant, but not halogen free.
