The BAV20-TR is a small signal switching diode from Vishay Semiconductors, part of the BAV17-BAV21 series of high voltage silicon epitaxial planar diodes. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and a reverse voltage of 150V, making it suitable for general purpose switching applications in circuits requiring moderate voltage handling.
Key electrical characteristics include a forward continuous current of 250mA, a peak forward surge current of 1A (tp=1s), and a fast reverse recovery time of 50ns. The forward voltage is 1V at 100mA, and the diode offers a low capacitance of 1.5pF at 0V and 1MHz. Maximum power dissipation is 500mW, with an operating junction temperature range up to 175°C.
The device is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) axial leaded package, designed for through-hole mounting. It is available in tape and reel packaging (TR suffix) for automated assembly. The cathode is identified by a black band.
