The BAT85S-TR is a small signal Schottky diode manufactured by Vishay, designed for applications requiring very low forward voltage. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 30V and a forward continuous current of 200mA.
Electrical characteristics include a typical forward voltage of 240mV at 0.1mA, 320mV at 1mA, 400mV at 10mA, 500mV at 30mA, and 800mV at 100mA. The diode has a typical reverse recovery time of 5ns and a diode capacitance of 10pF at 1V and 1MHz. Maximum reverse current is 2µA at 25V reverse voltage.
The device is housed in a DO-35 (DO-204AH) through-hole package with axial leads. It features an integrated protection ring against static discharge. The junction temperature range is up to 125°C, and storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C. Thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 350 K/W.
Typical applications include low voltage rectification, high-speed switching, and protection circuits where low forward voltage drop is critical. The part is available in tape and reel packaging (10,000 per reel) or ammopack.
