The BAT43W-7 is a surface mount Schottky barrier diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed for low voltage, high speed switching applications. It offers a maximum reverse voltage of 30V and an average rectified current of 200mA. The diode features a low forward voltage drop of 0.33V at 2mA and 0.45V at 15mA, enabling efficient operation in low power circuits. With a reverse recovery time of 5ns, it is suitable for high frequency rectification and clamping applications.
The device is housed in a compact SOD-123 surface mount package, making it ideal for automated assembly and space-constrained designs. It has a maximum power dissipation of 200mW and a thermal resistance of 500°C/W when mounted on an FR-4 board with recommended pad layout. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to 125°C, ensuring reliable performance across a wide range of environments.
Typical applications include polarity protection, freewheeling diodes, and DC-DC converter output rectification in portable electronics, consumer devices, and industrial control systems. The BAT43W-7 is available in lead-free and RoHS compliant versions, with matte tin plated terminals for excellent solderability.
