The BAS40SL is a Schottky barrier diode designed for low voltage, high speed switching applications. It has a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 40V and an average rectified forward current of 100mA. The forward voltage drop is 1V at 40mA forward current, and the reverse leakage current is 0.2µA at 30V reverse voltage. The diode features a fast reverse recovery time of 8 ns typical, making it suitable for high frequency circuits. The junction capacitance is 5 pF at 0V reverse bias and 1 MHz. The device can operate over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C with a maximum power dissipation of 227 mW at 25°C ambient. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 550°C/W with a minimum land pad. The BAS40SL is available in a very small SOD-923 surface mount package with a profile height of 0.43mm max and footprint of 1.0 x 0.6 mm, making it ideal for space-constrained designs. The marking code is AA. The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging. This diode is characterized by its low forward voltage drop and fast switching performance, enabling efficient rectification and signal clamping in portable electronics, battery powered devices, and other low power applications.
