The BAS21 is a high-speed switching diode designed for general purpose rectification and signal processing. With a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 250V and a continuous reverse voltage of 200V, it is suitable for applications requiring up to 200V blocking. The diode can handle an average forward current of 200mA and a repetitive peak forward current of 625mA.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1.25V at 200mA and a low reverse recovery time of 50ns at test conditions (IF=10mA, IR=10mA to 1mA). The junction capacitance is typically 5pF at 0V bias, enabling high-speed switching. Leakage current is 100nA at room temperature and 100µA at 150°C junction temperature. The device is rated for a power dissipation of 250mW.
The BAS21 is offered in the standard SOT-23 surface mount package (also known as TO-236-3, SC-59). It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per reel. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, and the device is RoHS compliant and lead-free. It is also available in AEC-Q101 qualified versions (suffix -Q/-AQ) for automotive applications.
Typical applications include signal processing, high-speed switching, and rectification in commercial and industrial grade equipment. The device is also suitable for use in automotive electronics when using the -Q/-AQ variants.
