The BAS20 from Diotec Semiconductor is a surface mount small signal switching diode designed for high-speed switching and rectifying applications. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 200mA. The diode achieves a very short reverse recovery time of 50ns, making it suitable for fast switching circuits. With a typical forward voltage of less than 1.0V at 100mA and maximum 1.25V at 200mA, power dissipation is kept low at 250mW. Junction capacitance is less than 5pF, further supporting high-frequency operation.
The BAS20 is housed in a standard SOT-23 surface mount package (also designated SOT-23-3 TO-236) with UL 94V-0 flame-rated case material. It operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and is MSL 1 for unlimited floor life. The component is compliant with RoHS3 and REACH regulations, and it is free of conflict minerals. Typical applications include signal processing, high-speed switching, and rectifying in commercial and industrial grade equipment.
