The BAR28 is a metal-to-silicon junction Schottky diode designed for small signal applications. It features a high breakdown voltage of 70V, low turn-on voltage, and ultrafast switching speed.
Key electrical characteristics include a forward continuous current of 15mA, forward voltage of 1V max at 15mA (typical 0.41V at 1mA), reverse leakage current of 0.2µA max at 50V, and typical capacitance of 2pF at 0V. The reverse recovery time is typically 100ps.
This diode is housed in a through-hole DO-35 (DO-204AH) glass package. It has a junction temperature range of -65°C to 200°C and a thermal resistance (junction-to-ambient) of 400°C/W. The maximum lead temperature for soldering is 230°C for 10 seconds.
Primarily intended for high level UHF/VHF detection and pulse applications with broad dynamic range, the BAR28 also suits high-speed switching and low-level signal rectification circuits.
