The B540C-13 is a 5.0A surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifier from Diodes Incorporated, designed for general commercial applications. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 40V, average rectified current of 5A, and a low forward voltage drop of 550 mV maximum at 5A. Reverse leakage current is 0.5 mA maximum at 40V, and typical junction capacitance is 300 pF at 4V, 1 MHz. The diode is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) package, which is surface-mountable and weighs approximately 0.21 grams. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The device incorporates guard ring die construction for transient protection and is ideal for polarity protection, freewheeling, and switching applications in low-voltage, high-frequency inverters. The part is RoHS3 compliant, halgen and antimony free, and has an MSL rating of Level 1.
