The Vishay B340LB-E3/52T is a high current density surface-mount Schottky rectifier designed for low voltage, high frequency applications. It has a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 40V and an average forward current rating of 3A. The device offers a very low forward voltage drop of 0.43V typical at 3A and 25°C, and 0.34V typical at 125°C, enabling high efficiency and low power loss.
This rectifier includes a guardring for overvoltage protection and can handle a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave). It is housed in a SMB (DO-214AA) surface-mount package with matte tin plated terminals and a color band cathode marking. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
The B340LB-E3/52T is RoHS-compliant (E3 suffix) and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 with a maximum peak reflow temperature of 260°C. It is suitable for use in DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits.
