The B280-13-F is a 2.0A high voltage Schottky barrier rectifier diode from Diodes Incorporated, part of the B270-B2100 series. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) of 80V and an average rectified forward current (Io) of 2A at +125°C. The device offers a non-repetitive peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 50A, making it suitable for applications requiring surge handling.
Electrical characteristics include a typical forward voltage of 790 mV at 2A forward current and a junction capacitance of 75 pF at 4V reverse bias. The diode operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to +150°C, with a thermal resistance from junction to terminal of 15 °C/W. The Schottky barrier design ensures low power loss and high efficiency.
The B280-13-F is housed in a surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) package with a lead-free matte tin finish. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free (green device), and has an MSL of Level 1 per J-STD-020. The package is supplied in tape and reel with 3000 pieces per reel, suitable for automated assembly.
Typical applications include low-voltage high-frequency inverters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits. The guard ring die construction provides transient protection. The device is also available in an automotive-compliant version under separate datasheet (B280Q-B2100Q).
