The AZC199-04S from Amazing Micro is a low capacitance ESD protection array designed to protect high-speed I/O lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT). It provides ESD protection for four I/O lines and one VDD line, with ESD withstand capability up to ±27kV air discharge and ±16kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2. The device also meets IEC 61000-4-4 EFT Level 3 up to 55A. With a typical capacitance of 1.0pF, it is ideal for high-speed data interfaces such as USB 2.0 and DVI.
The AZC199-04S features a unique design incorporating ESD-rated steering diodes and a clamping cell that functions as an equivalent TVS diode. It supports operating voltages of 5V, 4.2V, 3.3V, and 2.5V. The device utilizes solid-state silicon-avalanche and active circuit triggering technology for fast turn-on and low clamping voltage. It also includes back-drive protection for power-down mode.
Packaged in a surface-mount SOT-23-6 package, the AZC199-04S is suitable for space-constrained applications. It is available in lead-free and halogen-free (green) versions. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 85°C, with a storage temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and a maximum soldering temperature of 260°C for 10 seconds.
