The ATTINY85-20PU is a high-performance, low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology. It features 8KB of in-system programmable Flash memory, 512 bytes of SRAM, and 512 bytes of EEPROM, providing ample storage for small embedded applications. The device operates at a maximum speed of 20 MHz when powered at 4.5V to 5.5V, and 10 MHz at lower voltages (2.7V to 5.5V).
This microcontroller includes a rich set of peripherals: a 10-bit ADC with 4 single-ended channels, two 8-bit timers with PWM, a Universal Serial Interface (USI), brown-out detection, power-on reset, and a watchdog timer. It supports six general-purpose I/O lines and features an internal calibrated oscillator.
The ATTINY85-20PU is housed in an 8-pin PDIP (Plastic Dual In-line Package) with through-hole mounting, making it suitable for prototyping and hobbyist projects. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires a supply voltage between 2.7V and 5.5V. Typical active mode current is 300 µA at 1 MHz, 1.8V, and power-down current is only 0.1 µA, enabling battery-powered designs.
