The Microchip ATTINY44A-SSU is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller based on the advanced RISC architecture. It features 4KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 256B of SRAM, and 256B of EEPROM with high endurance (10,000 write/erase cycles for Flash, 100,000 for EEPROM). The device operates at a maximum clock speed of 20MHz with an internal oscillator and supports a supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V.
The microcontroller includes a 10-bit ADC with 8 single-ended and 12 differential channels with programmable gain. It provides 12 general-purpose I/O pins, one 8-bit and one 16-bit timer/counter with two PWM channels, and a Universal Serial Interface (USI) supporting I2C and SPI. Additional peripherals include a brown-out detect/reset, power-on reset, watchdog timer, and an on-chip temperature sensor.
The ATTINY44A-SSU is housed in a 14-pin SOIC package (0.154" width, 3.90mm body width) for surface mount assembly. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Power consumption is low, with typical active mode current of 210 µA at 1.8V and 1MHz, and power-down mode current of 0.1 µA. The device supports debugWIRE for on-chip debugging.
