The ATTINY406-MFR is a member of Microchip's tinyAVR 0-series of microcontrollers, built around an 8-bit AVR core capable of running at up to 20 MHz. It offers 4KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 256 bytes of SRAM, and 128 bytes of EEPROM, providing ample storage for small embedded applications.
This microcontroller integrates a rich set of peripherals including 18 general-purpose I/O pins, a 12-channel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), two 16-bit timers, and serial interfaces for I2C, SPI, and UART/USART communication. Additional on-chip features such as Brown-out Detection (BOD), Power-On Reset (POR), Watchdog Timer (WDT), Event System, CRC, and Configurable Custom Logic (CCL) enhance system reliability and flexibility.
The device operates over a wide supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. For full 20 MHz operation, a supply voltage of 4.5V to 5.5V is required. The ATTINY406-MFR is housed in a 20-lead VFQFN with exposed pad (20-VQFN 3x3mm) and is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly.
The supply voltage range is 1.8V to 5.5V. For full 20 MHz operation, 4.5V to 5.5V is required.
It is available in a 20-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (20-VQFN 3x3mm).
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C.
It is listed as RoHS3 compliant, but this status is unverified from external sources.
The maximum clock frequency is 20 MHz at 4.5V-5.5V supply voltage.
It has 4KB of Flash program memory.
I2C, SPI, and UART/USART are supported.
