The ATSAM4L-XPRO is the SAM4L Xplained Pro evaluation platform from Microchip Technology. It is designed to evaluate the ATSAM4LC4 microcontroller based on the ARM Cortex-M4 processor running at up to 48 MHz. The board provides a fixed mounting evaluation platform for software development and hardware prototyping.
The ATSAM4LC4 MCU on this board features 512 KB of Flash memory and 64 KB of SRAM. It leverages picoPower technology for ultra-low power consumption with active mode current as low as 90 µA/MHz. Multiple low-power modes are supported including Wait mode at 3 µA, Retention mode at 1.5 µA, and Backup mode at 0.9 µA. Wake-up time from Wait and Retention modes is less than 1.5 µs.
This evaluation board is part of the Xplained Pro series and includes the necessary board(s) for immediate use. It operates from a single supply voltage and is suitable for evaluating the peripheral set of the SAM4L series including segment LCD controller, capacitive touch, USB, and serial interfaces.
