The ATMEGA64L-8AU is a high-performance, low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller developed by Microchip Technology (formerly Atmel). It features an advanced RISC architecture with 130 powerful instructions, most executing in a single clock cycle, providing up to 16 MIPS throughput at 16 MHz.

This microcontroller includes 64 Kbytes of In-System Reprogrammable Flash program memory, 2 Kbytes of EEPROM, and 4 Kbytes of Internal SRAM. It supports up to 64 Kbytes of optional external memory space and offers robust peripheral features including multiple timer/counters, PWM channels, a 10-bit ADC, dual USARTs, and an SPI interface.

The ATMEGA64L-8AU is available in a 64-lead TQFP or 64-pad QFN/MLF package, designed for surface mount applications. It operates within a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a wide array of embedded systems.
