The ATMEGA6450-16AUR is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology built on advanced RISC architecture. It features 130 instructions, most single-clock cycle execution, 32 x 8 general purpose working registers, and up to 16 MIPS throughput at 16 MHz. The device includes 64KB of in-system self-programmable Flash, 4KB SRAM, and 2KB EEPROM with high endurance (10,000 Flash / 100,000 EEPROM write/erase cycles).
Peripherals include two 8-bit timer/counters, one 16-bit timer/counter with capture mode, four PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, programmable serial USART, master/slave SPI, and a universal serial interface with start condition detector. Additional features include brown-out detect, power-on reset, programmable watchdog timer, on-chip analog comparator, and five sleep modes for low power operation.
The microcontroller is housed in a 100-pin TQFP package (14x14mm) for surface mount assembly. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Typical active power consumption is 350 µA at 1 MHz and 1.8V, with power-down consumption as low as 100 nA.
