The ATmega644P is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture. It achieves throughputs close to 1 MIPS per MHz, allowing designers to optimize for power consumption versus processing speed.
It features 64KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 4KB SRAM, and 2KB EEPROM with high endurance (10,000 Flash write/erase cycles and 100,000 EEPROM cycles). Peripherals include two 8-bit timers, one 16-bit timer, six PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC with differential gain, and serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, USART).
Operating from 2.7V to 5.5V and over -40°C to 85°C, the maximum clock frequency is 20MHz at 4.5V-5.5V and 10MHz at 2.7V-5.5V. The device is housed in a 44-TQFP (10x10mm) surface mount package with gull wing leads.
Typical applications include industrial control, automation, sensor interfaces, and battery-powered devices. JTAG interface supports on-chip debugging and programming.
