The ATMEGA644A-AU is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology based on the enhanced RISC architecture. It features 64KB of Flash program memory, 4KB SRAM, and 2KB EEPROM with high endurance (10,000 Flash cycles, 100,000 EEPROM cycles). The device operates at up to 20 MHz, achieving 20 MIPS throughput.
Peripherals include two 8-bit timers, one 16-bit timer, 6 PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, brown-out detection, power-on reset, and a watchdog timer.
