The ATMEGA32L-8PU is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology, part of the ATmega family. It features 32KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 2KB internal SRAM, and 1KB EEPROM, providing ample storage for code and data. The device operates at a maximum clock frequency of 8MHz and supports a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, making it suitable for low-power and battery-powered applications.
With 32 programmable I/O lines, the microcontroller offers connectivity via I²C, SPI, and UART/USART interfaces. On-chip peripherals include brown-out detection, power-on reset, PWM channels, and a watchdog timer. The integrated 10-bit ADC with 8 channels enables analog signal acquisition. The device is available in a 40-pin PDIP package for through-hole mounting, suitable for prototyping and industrial applications.
The low-power consumption of 1.1 mA typical at 1 MHz and 3V, with idle mode at 0.35 mA and power-down mode below 1 µA, makes it ideal for energy-sensitive designs. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C allows use in harsh environments.
