The ATMEGA168PA-MMH is a high-performance, low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology. It features an advanced RISC architecture with 131 instructions, most executed in a single clock cycle. The device offers 16KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 1KB SRAM, and 512 bytes EEPROM with high endurance (10,000 write/erase cycles for Flash, 100,000 for EEPROM). It operates over a voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and supports clock speeds up to 20MHz, delivering up to 20 MIPS throughput.
The microcontroller includes a rich set of peripherals: two 8-bit and one 16-bit timer/counters, six PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, and multiple serial communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART/USART). It also features a calibrated internal oscillator, brown-out detection, and six sleep modes for power optimization. Typical active current is 0.2mA at 1MHz, and power-down current is 0.1µA.
The ATMEGA168PA-MMH is housed in a 28-VQFN (4x4mm) package with an exposed pad for thermal management, suitable for surface-mount assembly. It is designed for a wide range of applications including consumer electronics, industrial control, medical devices, automotive systems, and IoT endpoints.
