The Microchip Technology ATMEGA164A-MU is a low-power, high-performance 8-bit AVR microcontroller based on the enhanced RISC architecture. It features 16KB of in-system self-programmable Flash memory, 1KB internal SRAM, and 512 bytes of EEPROM with high endurance of 10,000 write/erase cycles for Flash and 100,000 cycles for EEPROM. The device operates at speeds up to 20MHz, delivering up to 20 MIPS throughput.
This microcontroller includes a rich set of peripherals: two 8-bit timer/counters, one 16-bit timer/counter, a real-time counter, six PWM channels, an 8-channel 10-bit ADC, and serial communication interfaces including I2C, SPI, and two USARTs. It also features a JTAG interface for on-chip debug and programming, and supports Atmel QTouch library for capacitive touch sensing.
The ATMEGA164A-MU is supplied in a 44-VFQFN exposed pad package (44-VQFN 7x7mm) for surface mount assembly. It operates over a wide voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for industrial and embedded applications. Power consumption is optimized with typical active mode current of 0.4mA at 1MHz and 1.8V, and power-down mode current as low as 0.1µA.
The operating voltage range is 1.8V to 5.5V.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
It comes in a 44-VFQFN Exposed Pad package, also specified as 44-VQFN (7x7mm).
It has 16KB (8K x 16) of Flash program memory.
It supports I2C, SPI, and UART/USART interfaces.
The maximum speed is 20MHz.
It has 32 I/O pins.
