The Microchip Technology ATA5551M-DRBW is a programmable read/write RFID transponder designed for identification systems. It operates at 125kHz and features contactless read/write data transmission with bi-directional communication between a base station and the transponder.
This transponder includes a built-in coil and capacitor for its antenna and receives power inductively from the RF field, eliminating the need for an external power supply. It boasts a 264-bit EEPROM user-programmable in 32-bit blocks, with write protection and malprogramming protection features. The device supports various bit rates from RF/8 to RF/128 and multiple modulation types including BIN, FSK, PSK, Manchester, and bi-phase.
Applications for the ATA5551M-DRBW include access control systems, brand protection, process control and automation, installation and medical equipment, asset management, and general industrial uses. Its anti-collision mode allows for rapid reading of multiple transponders, with up to 10 transponders readable in under 500ms.
