This transceiver features Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum with BPSK and O-QPSK modulation, supporting data rates from 20 kb/s up to 1000 kb/s. It offers an industry-leading link budget with receiver sensitivity down to -110dBm and programmable transmit output power up to +11dBm. The device boasts ultra-low current consumption in various modes, including SLEEP at 0.2µA.
Designed for ease of use and low BoM cost, the AT86RF212B-ZU operates from a low supply voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V. It includes a 128-byte FIFO for data buffering, a fast SPI interface, and hardware support for IEEE 802.15.4 features like FCS computation, Clear Channel Assessment, RSSI, and Energy Detection. Additional features include an AES 128-bit hardware accelerator, Antenna Diversity, and True Random Number Generation.
