The AT29LV040A-15TU is a 4-megabit, 3-volt only, in-system, Flash Programmable and Erasable Read-Only Memory (PEROM) from Microchip Technology. Organized as 524,288 words by 8 bits, this device utilizes advanced nonvolatile CMOS EEPROM technology to provide fast access times of up to 150 ns.
Key features include a single voltage range of 3V to 3.6V for both read and write operations, low power dissipation with 15 mA active current and 50 µA CMOS standby current, and software-protected programming. The memory is organized into 2048 sectors, each containing 256 bytes, with two 16K byte boot blocks offering lockout capabilities. Programming is performed on a sector basis, with internal latches for addresses and data to allow for microprocessor speed operations.
This Flash memory is suitable for applications requiring reliable non-volatile data storage. It is supplied in a 32-lead TSOP package, designed for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C (TC).
