AT2401C

The AT2401C from Atmel is a highly integrated RF front-end single-chip solution designed for 2.4GHz wireless applications, including Zigbee and wireless sensor networks. Implemented using advanced CMOS technology, this device incorporates a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), a transceiver switch control circuit, input-output matching, and harmonic filtering.

Key features include operation at 2.4 GHz, support for OQPSK modulation, and very low DC power consumption. The chip is designed for high sensitivity and efficiency, with a low noise figure on the receiving channel. It also includes ESD protection circuits on all ports and DC isolation circuits for RF ports.

The AT2401C is suitable for applications such as industrial control automation, smart homes, and RF systems compliant with the RF4CE protocol. Its functional control logic is simple, requiring minimal peripheral devices for easy system integration. The device is housed in a compact QFN package measuring 3x3x0.55 mm with a grounded bottom plate, making it ideal for space-constrained designs.
