The Abracon ASE-48.000MHZ-LC-T is a 48 MHz crystal oscillator (XO) with CMOS output in a compact 3.2 x 2.5 mm SMD package. It operates from a 3.3V nominal supply (3.135V to 3.465V) and draws 6.5 mA typical supply current (19 mA max). Frequency stability is ±50 ppm (option L) over the operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

 

The oscillator provides CMOS output with 15 pF load, typical rise/fall times of 2.4 ns, and symmetry of 45%/50%/55%. RMS jitter is 3.2 ps typical (5 ps max). An enable/disable tri-state function allows output control, and standby current is only 10 µA. The device features a crystal base resonator and is RoHS compliant with MSL Level 1.

 

Typical applications include CCD clock for VTR cameras, equipment connected to PC or PC cards, PDA, wireless communication, laptop, and SSD. The low profile (1.2 mm height) and surface-mount design suit space-constrained designs.
