The Vishay AS3BDHM3_A/H is a standard avalanche surface-mount rectifier designed for general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications. It features a glass passivated chip junction for reliability and controlled avalanche characteristics.
Key electrical specifications include a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 200V, an average rectified current (IF(AV)) of 3A, and a forward voltage (VF) of 1.05V maximum at 3A and 25°C, dropping to 0.86V typical at 125°C. The device can handle a peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 90A and a non-repetitive avalanche energy (EAS) of 20mJ.
The rectifier is housed in a low-profile SMB (DO-214AA) package with matte tin plated gull wing leads, suitable for automated placement. It is AEC-Q101 qualified (HM3 suffix), RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and meets MSL level 1 with a maximum junction temperature of 175°C.
