The AS193-73 is a high-linearity SPDT switch manufactured by Alpha Components, utilizing a PHEMT GaAs FET IC process. It is designed for applications requiring exceptional linearity, low control voltage, high isolation, and minimal insertion loss in an ultraminiature package.
This switch operates linearly from 2.5 to 5 V and covers a frequency range of 0.1–2.5 GHz. Key electrical specifications include low insertion loss, with values as low as 0.30 dB at 0.1–0.5 GHz and up to 0.55 dB at 2.0–2.5 GHz. Isolation is also a strong point, ranging from 28 dB at 0.1–0.5 GHz down to 15 dB at 2.0–2.5 GHz. Harmonics (H2, H3) are greater than 65 dBc at a power input of 34.5 dBm.
The AS193-73 is housed in an ultraminiature SOT-6 plastic package, suitable for surface mount applications. It is available in lead (Pb)-free and RoHS-compliant packaging. DC blocking capacitors must be supplied externally, with a recommended value of 100 pF for operating frequencies above 500 MHz.
