The OptiFuse APS-4A is a low profile miniature automotive blade fuse designed for overcurrent protection in DC circuits up to 32V. It is rated for a nominal current of 4A and can safely interrupt faults up to 1000A at 32VDC. The fuse body is pink in color for identification.
Time-current characteristics are defined for overcurrent conditions: holds 110% of rated current for a minimum of 100 hours, and at 200% rated current it opens between 150ms and 5s. These characteristics ensure reliable coordination with wire and load protection requirements.
The fuse uses a blade package requiring a separate holder for installation. Its compact dimensions (11.00mm x 3.90mm x 9.00mm) make it suitable for space-constrained automotive and industrial applications. Designed per JASO standards.
