The Sensata APL/UPL series APL15-3875-1 is a hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker designed for reliable power switching, circuit protection, and control. This legacy product features a lever actuator for manual operation, similar to an ON-OFF switch. Upon overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. The protector is 'trip free,' ensuring contacts do not remain closed under overload conditions.
This circuit breaker is suitable for industrial, military, and information processing applications where precision operation is required. It is recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as a supplementary protector and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235. The APL/UPL line offers various configurations, including multi-pole assemblies with mixed current ratings, delays, and internal circuit configurations.
