APL15-1REC2-28763-1

The Sensata APL/UPL Series APL15-1REC2-28763-1 is a hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker designed for reliable power switching, circuit protection, and control. It features a lever actuator for manual operation, functioning similarly to an ON-OFF switch under normal load conditions. Upon detecting an overload, the internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. This protector is trip-free, meaning the internal contacts will not remain closed during an overload, even if the handle is held in the ON position.

This circuit breaker is designed for panel mounting and is part of the APL/UPL legacy product line. Sensata Technologies recommends the Airpax™ IAL series for new design-ins, as the APL/UPL series is no longer accepting new orders. While designed for industrial, military, and information processing applications, its precision operation makes it suitable for various demanding environments.

Most versions of the APL family are recognized by UL per UL STD. 1077 as supplementary protectors and certified by CSA per CSA STD. C22.2–No. 235 as supplementary protectors. The APL/UPL line offers many configurations including series, shunt, and relay types with a choice of delays and ratings. Multi-pole assemblies are also available.
