The Sensata APL1113-8918-1 is part of the APL/UPL series of hydraulic magnetic circuit protectors. Upon overload, an internal mechanism trips, opening the contacts and forcibly returning the handle to the OFF position. This protector is 'trip free,' meaning the internal contacts will not remain closed under overload, even if the handle is held ON.
